How your dashboard works
After signing in you land automatically on your dashboard — the central overview page for your FreezeProtector system. Here you can see at a glance how your device is doing: current readings, switch positions, and the history of the last few hours.
Everything you see here is split into individual boxes — so-called widgets. Each widget shows exactly one piece of information or function: a chart, a list of switches, a note, and so on.
Customizing widgets
Every widget has a few small icons in its header that let you customize it:
- A link icon (🔗) means this widget automatically follows whichever device is selected in the filter widget — nothing to set up.
- The gear icon opens this widget's settings.
- The × hides the widget — it isn't deleted afterwards, just hidden.
In the settings you can change the size (from XS to XXL) and move the widget up or down; some widgets also let you add a further, independent copy from here — for instance a second device-status widget for a different device:

Every change is saved automatically in the background right away — you don't need to confirm anything extra, and nothing gets lost.
Allowing access to your local network
The WiFi IP address in a status widget like this is more than just text: if your device is currently reachable over your local network, the dashboard automatically turns it into a clickable link straight to the device's own web interface.
To check that, some browsers (e.g. Chrome) ask, once, when you open the dashboard, whether the page may access other devices on your local network — a fairly new security feature of the browser itself, not something specific to FreezeProtector:
Click Allow — otherwise the link stays inactive, and you'll see an info icon instead saying the device isn't reachable, even if you're actually on the right network. Under "Remember my decision" you can choose 'permanently' so your browser doesn't ask again on your next visit:
This prompt only appears in browsers that support it, and even there only if you're actually on the same local network as your device — from elsewhere, or from a different network, you won't see it at all.
Adding widgets and managing layouts
Above the widget list, top right, you'll find the toolbar:

+ Widget opens a list of all widget types. Hidden widgets show up here just like any other — click one to bring it back. Widgets already on your dashboard are additionally marked "More": clicking one of those adds a further, independent copy instead of restoring the existing widget.

Load loads a ready-made template matching your device type, or one you saved yourself earlier.

Save as saves your current layout — as your own template, or, depending on your account, as the default for everyone. Some of these options are marked "Premium" and aren't available on every plan.

Reset puts the dashboard back to its default layout.
Choosing a device and time range
The filter widget determines which device and which time range are shown in the other widgets:
- At the top you choose the device whose values you want to see.
- Below that, the time range, e.g. the last 6 hours.
- The arrow icon on the far right refreshes the values immediately, without waiting.
Some options in the filter widget (e.g. "Show all devices") are meant for administrators only — if you don't see them, that's normal.
Navigation
The sidebar takes you to the other areas of the FreezeProtector Cloud:
Depending on your account, further areas such as Monitoring, Notifications, Reporting, or Prediction may also be available here. They're marked "beta" while still in testing, so they aren't enabled on every account yet — more on this in the topic overview.
