Filter

Control the device, time range and layout for the other widgets

The Filter widget is your dashboard's control center: here you choose which device and which time range show up in every other widget that follows this filter β€” recognizable by the πŸ”— icon in its header (see Customizing widgets).

The Filter widget with device, time range and refresh interval

  • Device: type to search, or click the arrow to list all of your devices.
  • Time range: a preset range like "Last 12 hours", or your own custom range via the calendar.
  • Refresh interval: off, 30 seconds, 1, 5 or 15 minutes β€” the arrow on the far right also refreshes immediately, without waiting.

Administrators additionally see a "Show all devices" option above the search field, to pick devices they don't own themselves β€” it's marked red since it's staff-only. If you don't see it, that's normal.

Saving a layout as a template

The gear icon in the header also opens, alongside size and position, the option to save the current dashboard β€” layout and every widget's content β€” as a template:

  • The save icon saves it as this one device's own individual default. Anyone who can see this device gets this layout instead of the general default for its device type.
  • The globe icon saves it as the default for the entire device type β€” every device of that type without its own individual default falls back to it. This option is marked red and only visible to administrators, since it affects every device of the type.

Both actions ask for confirmation before saving.
